Summer Music Program

Grades 4-8 keep their skills sharp all summer long through Friends of Music of Smithtown Summer Music Program.

Teacher Mini-Grants

Teachers apply for mini-grants to bring new musical opportunities into their classrooms by purchasing instruments, equipment, sheet music, curriculum materials, and other educational resources that enrich music education for students.

Senior Scholarships

Graduating senior members who are active in Friends of Music of Smithtown are eligible for scholarships.

3rd Grade Recorders

Friends of Music of Smithtown coordinates recorder packages for every 3rd grader beginning their musical journey.

Concerts & Events

Student performances that build confidence, community pride, and lifelong memories.

Championing Music Education

Friends of Music of Smithtown advocates for music programs at the district level, ensuring music stays a priority.

When does my membership renew?
Memberships run for one school year and renew each fall. You'll receive a reminder email before your renewal date.
Does my child need to be in band or orchestra?
Not at all. Friends of Music of Smithtown supports all music students - band, orchestra, chorus, and general music - across all Smithtown schools.
Is my membership tax deductible?
Friends of Music of Smithtown is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Please consult your tax advisor regarding deductibility of your specific contribution.
What if I want to do more than just join?
We love volunteers! After joining, look for volunteer opportunities at our events page or contact us directly.
How do I get my business logo featured (Community Partner)?
